Cabinet door damper installation isn't really a very quick, convenient and low cost project that anybody can accomplish, and yet it only takes a couple of minutes. There are basically two methods that you can utilize, depending on if you prefer to use approved clip on dampeners or custom dryers. Installing dryers is quite straightforward, while installation of the clip-ons is more involved. The key difference between Lijiali's two types of installation is that with clip-on doors, they can be mounted at any location on the cabinet, whereas dryer doors have to be installed in line with the frame.
For the installation of the Lijiali's cabinet door damper for hinge, you first have to measure the dimensions of the space where you intend to place it. Make sure that you have measured everything correctly so as to ensure that you don't waste time in putting everything together the wrong way. If the door jamb is already installed, then you have an extra inch or so to work with, but you will still need to measure it. Note that the new door damper must fit snugly against the jamb.
Next, you will need to install the two dampers that you have chosen. You can purchase them from our product page and then install them by yourself. For custom cabinet door dampers, it is best to locate and install them at the factory since it is much easier and you won't waste any time in doing so. If you have factory-installed door dampers, simply follow the instructions that came with it carefully.
To begin your cabinet door damper installation, carefully pull the door sealant across the surface where you would like to mount the damper. Make sure that it is mounted securely. If you have installed a special kind of door sealant, then it's likely that it will fit snugly. Once you have mounted it, you should use a masking tape to cover the entire area.
After the damper has been mounted, you can now turn your attention to installing the two door dampers. Remember that you will need to drill some holes into the cabinet door jamb and then insert the screws into the holes. As long as you follow the manufacturers' instructions, you shouldn't have any problems with this step. When you have installed both door dampers, then you should attach the cabinet door sealant to the underside of the damper.
You will also need to install a rubber ring on the inside of the damper at the top and bottom. This will provide additional support for the damper. When it comes to the bottom of the damper, there are two options for you. The first option is to drill a hole and bolt the rubber ring onto the underside of the damper. The second option is to drill a hole in the top of the damper, but you should leave enough headroom for the wood to expand when it dries out.
